Lonely Weekend at Johor Bahru?

I just came back from JB where I went there alone. I know many would think that I am such a bore but its for work and there is nothing much I can do about that. I kinda enjoyed the feeling of being alone and it has indeed made my mind clearer. Clearer in the sense that I get to be on my own without any distractions for 4 days and 3 nights. Thought about alot of things and came up with some solutions as well.

It was raining most of the time and it helped calm me down.

This is how I was living for 4 days and 3 nights...

I was staying at Hyatt Regency Johor Bahru.

You think its a luxury? I think it was pretty boring. But glad I am back in KL. My friends were a wonderful bunch. I was receiving 60 messages a day on average to keep me company. How sweet can that be? Also the phone calls while I was driving to JB that night. You guys were awesome...

I really love you guys so much...

After Badminton Talks...

A few weeks ago, we came up with the tagline "if you have nothing nice to say, just cough" - that was Serena's and my brainchild. Rather not explain how we came up with that. It's a long story.
Yesterday, Wei Ing came up with one on her own. I was being annoying and instead of asking me to speak to the hand like an ordinary person, she choose to say "speak to my dirty hand" since she was eating keropok and her hands were dirty.

How creative you say? Yes, we are indeed. And the surprises don't just end there. Ivy found roaches in her car trunk last night and she was thinking of putting some mothballs into the trunk to get rid of them. But on second thought, both kids of hers are actually allergic to mothballs. She concluded in the end that she would still put it as - let me quote her "my kids don't sit in the car trunk anyway" - means adults do? Or if there were no mothballs, she plans to put her kids in there?

Anyway, we celebrated Wah Kor's birthday last Saturday night...

Weekend @ Fraser's Hill - Part 2

I will be heading to Bukit Tinggi tomorrow - yes, you must be thinking "she just came down from one hill and now she is off to another? This gal is crazy or what?"

I dun really have a choice for tomorrow's trip to Bukit Tinggi cause its teambuilding. But somehow, I am looking forward to it as well. Sure it'll be fun. Also means more things for me to blog about when I am back.

Anyway, here's part 2 of our trip to Fraser's...

We woke up from our nap only around 6:30pm and it was already almost time to go for our dinner. So we went to Wei Ing's parent shop after I had my shower.

So lovey dovey huh?

Now, let me tell you a story of a bowl of soup, Wei Ing and a hungry alien....

First, we need to arrange the bowls

Then we put spoons into the bowls

The most important thing is to smile when you serve the soup - slowly but gracefully

Alien thinking "when can I drink the soup-lah?"

Alien was so hungry she decided to eat the entire bowl of rice meant for 4 people

Dessert after dinner - Ice Cream at such cold weather

And that makes Alien & I two happy people

Weekend @ Fraser's Hill - Part 1

The day started off with my injured toe but the trip to Fraser's was fun nevertheless. We left Sungai Buloh around 10:15pm and was chatting all the way up to Fraser's. Got there around 12:30am.

We had tons of food with us in the car - thanks to the always-hungry-alien-Alicia Yeng. Ivy and I went shopping before heading to Wei Ing's place and all we could think of was how much food we need to keep Alicia Yeng full throughout the entire trip and not yell "HUNGRRRRRYYYY".

We ended up with this...

The amount of food we had with us for a 1.5 days and 2 nights trip

We went to sleep after hanging out a while in the hall and started the next day real early - Ivy was walking around the apartment waking everyone up at 10:30am. Went for breakfast at Wei Ing parent's shop then watch a movie at Wei Ing's house and we thought it was time to go out for a walk to get some fresh air...

Out to get some fresh air

We ended up going to the playground and Ivy struggled to get up the swing and got me to push her...

And then we took a group picture...

Trying to murder cocky Ivy while Alicia waits to see her fall flat on her face

I didn't manage to murder Ivy of course and we ended up chatting and taking one decent photo together...

It was then time to go back to the apartment since Ivy misses the snacks we bought. So we went back and decided to cook instant noodle...

Alicia Yeng tried really hard NOT to fall asleep - Alien style...

And while waiting for the water to boil, Ivy posed with the flowers in the apartment...

And Wei Ing munched on a bag of chips - all by herself...

And Alicia fell asleep eventually - Keeping awake Alien style didn't work

We had our noodles while playing cards, drank beer and then enjoyed the view a little before we took a nap. What life!!!

Keep a lookout for Part 2 coming soon kay?

Injured Toe...

My "dead" toenail finally came off partially today. I was already expecting it to come off but not that soon. Alright, it's my own doing. I hit my toe against something today at the office and it doesn't help that I was in slippers - I was in a "cincai" mood since I'll be going to Fraser's Hill right after work.

Gan Eng Kean was kind enough to drive me to the clinic to get the hanging toenail removed. She was holding my hand throughout the entire ordeal and supporting me - ya right! (For the record, she dare not even go in with me - such a chicken shit eh?) Hahahaha... Nice person, that Kean.

Anyway, the doctor got the nurse to prepare a jab for me before removing the toenail and she did. When he came into the next room, he tried lifting the toenail before giving me a jab and asked me if i could tolerate the pain. I said it was alright and he decided to pull the entire darn thing off without a jab - imagine it was like extracting a tooth without a jab. Ouch right?

Trust me, it was sooooooooo painful there were tears forming in my eyes.

This is how my toe looks like now...

This would be my current toe condition for the next few days and as for this evening, my toe will be in bandages, I'll be limping a little while screaming at the top of my lungs "FRASER'S HILL... HERE I COME!!!"

Back to Nature...

I was looking at my photo's folder earlier and saw these pictures. It made me laugh. We went cycling in April and how nice if we can do this again soon.

I miss those days I go cycling on Sunday mornings as compared to nursing a hangover these days - ok, my hangovers are not that bad, but still I need more sleep than I normally do if I go drinking the night before.

Anyway, check out how much fun we had that day...

Shermaine, Edna and myself posing with our bicycles

Beautiful...

It is so good to be close to nature. How often do we see so much green around us - ok, ok, we do have some pathetic trees along the roads and things like that, but nothing beats the paddy fields and unlimited trees.

I am soooo looking forward to my trip to Fraser's Hill.

Happy Birthday Beverly!!!

Well, well. I have gone into the hiding from my blog for a while now and I thought I should start to write again.

Last Saturday night was party-time at Mystique to celebrate the birthday of Beverly - or more affectionately known by the group as Bee Leng. Had tremendous fun and also had tremendous amount of alcohol in our systems at the end of the night - a more profound way of saying we were all pissed drunk, myself included. The 3 bottles of Bacardi Lemon and 2 bottles of Dewar's did not fail us at all.

Anyway, some pics from that night...

The party just started

My partner in crime during drinking sessions "Georgie"

Another group pic - Tessa seemed to already be in La La Land

With Mr. Bottoms Up - Terance

Met some of Emily's interesting friends that night. Terance the Mr Bottoms Up nearly made all our bottoms go up - when we puke that is.

Lay Eng and I look drunk but not Fong Sien right?

Now do you still think that Fong Sien is NOT drunk?

Thanks Emily, Fong Sien, Lay Eng and Amy for being such wonderful friends and for celebrating Bev's birthday for her. You guys were awesome!

Lets do this again real soon.

Over and out.

Ms. Ivy Le

For those who have been reading my blog, I am sure you remember one particular post I wrote about my-soon-to-be Godson, Gasper.

Remember how cute he look in that photo? Soooo adorable right?

Today, I would like to show you a pic of Gasper's mother.

Introducing Gasper's mother - Ms Ivy Le.... *drumroll & more drumroll*

See any resemblance? Trust me, I am laughing my head off writing this.

I gotta pack up and run real far away from the office immediately before Ivy gets to me.

Singing Competition...

Grandmother Story : Its so good to have friends and colleagues who stick by you through thick and thin and I am proud to say that I have those.

The qualifying round for my singing competition was 2 days ago and it all went well. I know most of you are really tired but still you made your way to Klang just to hear me sing - and doesn't help that I sang only 1 song. Of course, I was hoping to have a mini concert there or something, perhaps even a full scale concert. For that, I should go to bed earlier tonight and dream.

Anyway, pics from the night

I had tremendous fun that night although I was kinda nervous before I went on stage.

Now, I have to wait for the quarter finals.

Thank you all for supporting me. I will remember all of you when I get famous. I'll give all of you a free autographed copy of my album - I know, I'm such an al-cheapo.

Latest Soap Powder in the Market???

Do you know there is a new soap powder in the market? Apparently, it cleans better than any others in the market. Terror huh?

INTRODUCING...

They even have T-shirts to promote the soap powder

SERBUK PENCUCI "DIGI CELEBRITEEN"!!!!

Go try it out okay?

I have edited the picture to protect the privacy of my super-duper-mouth-watering-attention-grabbing-drop-dead-gorgeous model.

Gasper

Since I am in such mood to talk about babies, let me post a picture of my soon-to-be-godson ------ Gasper (yes, I know you are thinking of Casper the friendly ghost - kindly remove those thoughts from your head, please) You will think that he is adorable once you see his pics. Besides, I kinda think that Casper... Oppsss.... I mean Gasper is a nice and unique name.

I am sooo sure your reaction would be "awww... he's soooo cute"

And for the benefit of those thinking why am I crazy over babies, I would like to clarify something. I adore babies, but no, maternal instincts has not kicked in yet... the only reason I would want to get pregnant now is just to get a special parking at the office - Imagine, reserved parking all the time, near the lobby and under shade.

Worth getting pregnant for right?

Janice Leong

It's amazing how babies grow. Take a look at the latest addition in the family, Janice Leong....

3 Days

2 Months

Close to 4 Months

5 Months

I kinda think she looks more cartoonish as days go by but adorable nevertheless. I know, I don't look like an expert carrying a baby... Look more like I am carrying a rabbit or something but come to think of it, I don't plan to be a nanny so I am fine with any of your comments. Feel free to start shooting.

Gee... I really ought to cut my hair. Its getting really long.

Request for Additional Drinks

Dear Ms Tai Ying Feng,

Greetings from the Director of Coffee Machine! We are pleased to hear of your interest of the drink selection on the coffee machine. This is with regards to your request to add Ice Lemon Tea into the coffee dispenser. We would require you to draft an official letter to myself directly. On top of that, you would need to buy me 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners to get your request approved (I know it seems like daylight robbery but that's the way things work around here) Once you are done with the 9 meals mentioned above, you will need to spend me a holiday preferably to a destination of my choice (however, in order to make my customers happy, you get to choose the destination for this holiday). Please note that it has to be a 6 days 5 nights holiday.

Looking forward to your favourable reply.

Thank you and regards.

Yours truly,
Director of Coffee Machine

CC : Ms Emily Chiam - You will need to increase what you have to offer to me compared to Ms Tai in order to keep the Guinness Stout on the coffee machine. Please bear in mind that the highest bidder wins.

It's Time to Parrr-taaayyyy!!!

Party people, its Friday night!!! Yup, you heard me right... It was party night for the girls last Friday 29th June 2007.

They say "a picture paints a thousand words", so mine is worth 3 thousands...

Part of the group that night

Seeing Double "Alicia & Alicia"

I should clarify one thing... I am not that short, just so happen that when we took this pic I was sitting while Alicia was standing... hang on, which Alicia you ask? Go figure...

3 of us with some "monkeys" in the background - and that is before we had enough beer

The colour coding that night was this : Green - Available, Yellow - Uncertain & Red - Attached. You are asking why the hell I am in black? That is because I am rebellious-pathetic-and-out-to-confuse-people kinda lunatic...

Actually, I was already "high" before I went to the club. Had too much beer in the office for our 1st Year Celebration Party. One thing I learn from the party....

"If the beer is not cold enough, run as fast as you can towards the other direction and don't look back no matter what" - that was the culprit that made me tipsy eventhough I had only like 6 cups of beer. And btw, I had only like 3/4 bottle of a beer that night... Yah, I know... It's not me at all.

More pics coming up. They are in Emily's camera... or rather Hiong Hiong's camera used by Emily that night.

If Emily delays in giving me the pics, feel free to kill her, not me. Cause after reading this, Emily would have killed me before anything else.
