When it Rains at Gurney Drive...

I am sure most people goes to Gurney Drive for dinner when you're at Penang. Especially when you are staying at G Hotel like me - made a recent business trip to Penang (4 weeks) ago and decided to do what tourist normally do. Was also lazy to drive out since I was working...

Anyway, while I was enjoying all the (overpriced) food there, someone up there decided to play a trick on me and turned on the shower from up above. What do you do when you need to run back to the hotel to avoid the heavy downpour?

You protect the Coach bag you have with you.. Especially when it's from suede material. Seen a Coach bag in a bag before?

Found Something Missing in the Pantry's Fridge at work?

Just realised that I have been MIA since June from my blog. But I am glad that people still read what I have written in the past and the comments I have gotten just made me a little bit more motivated to update (excuses again I hear?) :p

Anyway, working in an office whereby open office concept is practised is not easy at all. Leave something in the pantry's fridge for a day and guess what happens? It goes missing. And what can you do when such things happens..... ???

Break from my blog... again :p

I think I will be taking a break again from updating my blog (happens all the time doesn't it?) :p

Will be heading to Bangkok next month and I think I'll have more to write after that.

Pangkor...

Teambuilding - The time most people in the company look forward to in a year. Last year I got pissed drunk and needed Wilson and Nikki to carry me back to the room. I was throwing up like there was no tomorrow and I regretted it, I told myself I will not do the same this year (for most people, especially drinkers, they will start thinking that I am just talking bollocks)

But it's true. Cause this year, we had like tons of Black Label, Absolute Vodka and Beer but I drank only 2 sips of the Black Label & that was because Shermaine wanted to get me started and dared me to drink. So since she did that, we went to get a glass each but I had only 2 sips and then I left the ballroom (and of course, left my drinks in the ballroom as well).

I ended up going to the beach with Kean for a chat. It was the best part of the entire teambuilding chatting with Kean about anything and everything :) Kean... a very good friend of mine indeed :)

I know you people probably think I am so boring these days - with all the free booze and all but I choose to sit on the beach with a friend instead. Let me tell you - the feeling of doing that is way much better than getting high / drunk :)

Phuket...

Finally I get to update my blog and it's all because I am in a training for these 2 days and while we have our break, I get to update it.

Well, Phuket was a really relaxing trip for me. I was spending a lot of time in the jakuzzi and the pool. The resort was good as well. Overall, I enjoyed it and I managed to relax quite a bit while I was there :)

Dun think I have any nice photos to share since nothing much happened except for the night in Patong and yet I was so mesmerised that I didn't remember to take any photos.

Hahaha... Next post coming up real soon.

Cameron Highlands...

It was a really fun trip to Camerons if you ask me - well, can also say it's an eating trip honestly. We took time off work to enjoy ourselves and did a lot of walking, eating, relaxing & making a fool out of ourselves :)

Think it happened too long ago that I can't remember what I'd wanted to write from this trip (making metal note not to procrastinate so much in the future when it comes to updating my blog :p)

Just came back from Pangkor for Teambuilding so means I have more to update. I have decided to stay back in the office this Thursday to just update my blog once and for all. Or else, Cavin will start to think that I am dead or something :p

Finally..

Finally I'm back in action again. Cavin has posted 2 comments so far asking me to update my blog and I didn't have the time till now. Hahaha...

Here goes... Now I have to try to recall where I've been. I think the sequence goes like this ---> KK - Cameron Highlands - KK - Phuket. Something like that lah...

Anyway, the first trip to KK was for work and I was stuck in the hotel room for almost 4 hours (7pm - 11pm) without any electricity cause there was a major power failure there. I'm sure all of you saw the news on the newspapers - about some crappy people trying to get metal scraps worth RM30 and cause the entire city to be in the dark for hours.

And that's not the worst cause the 5 star hotel that I was staying doesn't have emergency lights in the room and also no generator to power up the entire hotel - according to them, generators are only for the hotel lobby. What nonsense!

But I manage to enjoy the beautiful sunset from my hotel room before the blackout. Check this out...

From this trip, I realised something - Beers are darn cheap in KK. In fact, a bucket of beer (3 bottles) cost only RM14. Now, that's what you call cheap beer! Ha!

Tons of Travelling

Ok, I know it's been a long time since I last updated my blog again. Honestly, I have been travelling quite a bit and work has been crazy - thus not being able to update my blog as I used to.

Let's keep the story short and check out the next few individual post I have just to give a quick update and some nice photos taken during those trips.

Happy Birthday Siew Leng!!

Siew Leng - my big boss's secretary & also the person who always ask me to go "play far far" when she is busy just celebrated her birthday recently. Well, actually she sent a warning email to Bev and myself 2 days before her birthday asking us NOT to make a big deal out of her birthday. Like very "obedient" kids, we did the total opposite :p even her birthday card was bigger than anyone's else... hahaha...

But the end result was quite good - I think she is very happy :)

Mission accomplished!

Confession of a Karaoke Kaki...

If you think I stopped going to the karaoke after contributing to Neway's profit twice in 3 days, you're WRONG!! So wrong in fact cause in total, I went 3 times in 5 days :p

Yes - 2 days after I updated my blog, I mysteriously ended up at Neway again somehow. Fine fine, I did not myteriously end up there. I remember driving there with Edna and Lareina in the car with me.

Listen to my explaination. It was such a last minute thing. We were drinking away during our CEO's farewell and one thing led to another. And the other thing was ending up at a karaoke - can be forgiven right?

Anyway, we entertained ourself with our screaming, opppssss, I mean singing and we had a great deal of fun somehow.

I have a real great video of Joyce singing but I know if I were to put it up here, I will not live to see tomorrow.

So..... I'll just post a photo instead.

Karaoke Marathon

Went for karaoke session twice in 3 days. I know, that sounds pathetic but I really enjoy singing that much.

First time of the week was with Kean and Wee Kiang - Kean's Hubby on a Friday after work. We had a good time and Wee Kiang can really sing - or at least, that is what I think. We belted out a duet and it was pretty good actually :p syiok sendiri :p

On Sunday noon, I went for K lunch with Shermaine and the both of us sang for 3 and a half hours. Obviously I lost my voice after that but it was nice cause we were singing songs that we don't usually sing so it was more of a practice session for the both of us.

All in all, it was a boring weekend but thank goodness I have good frens to accompany me on those nights I think that I'd die of boredom.

Now, I am just waiting for the coming weekend - more like midnight on Sunday. Thinking of it makes me smile already :)

Edna's Early Birthday Celebration

Edna Chuah... Also known as Mui Mui to me at times and known as "Soh H*i" to me at any other deserving times - I get called the same, nonetheless... Of course when I deserve it as well :p

Anyway, Edna's birthday was on the 9th March and we all got together after work on the 6th March to celebrate her birthday.

All in all, we had a good time drinking beer and the Blue Margarita Tower - Lareina's creative mind changed it's name to "Blue Mousarita Tower" - long story, it's a personal joke between us and feeling too lazy to type it out here.
